Nanotechnology may be a cutting-edge advancement within science and
engineering. When this technology is applied to medicine, the results are
especially exciting and may make better our lives in drastic new ways. Each
breakthrough in nanotechnology
solves a drag that a lot of thought couldn't be overcome.
Here comes away within the field of Nanomedicine
i.e., deliver chemotherapy to the lungs using red blood cells. During this
technique, we will see the Binding chemotherapy-loaded nanoparticles to red
blood cells, which are then injected into the bloodstream. Once the red blood
cells reach the lungs they need to squeeze through the tiny capillaries and
therefore the resulting shear force removes the nanoparticles, which may then
enter cells within the lungs.
Researchers within the past have used nanoparticles
to scale back the adverse side-effects and increase the effectiveness of
chemotherapy. They created nanoparticles loaded with doxorubicin, a standard the chemotherapy drug, and incubated them with mouse red blood cells, where the
nanoparticles sure to the surface of the cells. When injected into the
bloodstream of mice with melanoma metastases in their lungs, the nanoparticles
were sheared off the red blood cells once they skilled the narrow capillaries
within the lungs.
The principle behind it's that when cancer starts forming within the
lungs, it distorts the sequence on a molecule called microRNA. If the
scientist can find the irregularities within the microRNA, he can discover if
the patient has cancer.
Nanotechnology is shown to bridge the barrier of biological and physical
sciences by applying nanostructures and nanophases in various fields of science
especially in Nanomedicine and Nano based drug delivery systems, where such
particles are of major interest. Nanomaterials are often well-defined as a
cloth with sizes ranged between 1 and 100 nm, which influence the frontiers of
Nanomedicine ranging from biosensors,
microfluidics, drug delivery, and microarray tests to tissue engineering. Nanotechnology
employs curative agents at the nanoscale level to develop Nanomedicine.
Hence, nanotechnology plays a big role in advanced medicine/drug
formulations, targeting arena, and their controlled drug release and delivery
with immense success.
